Cagayan de Oro Masonic Lodge No. 298 commemorated its 27th Charter Anniversary and Family Day along the beautiful, cosy and secluded coastline of VW Ramon E. Labis Beach in Igpit, Opol, Misamis Oriental. The turn-out of participants from the Brethren of Cagayan de Oro Masonic Lodge and their families, as well as visiting Brethen from other lodges was quite impressive and plenty. It was a fun-filled day full of laughter as the Brethren and their families dwell together in harmony and camaraderie. The sumptuous and toothsome food and infinity of wine, beers, and beverages prepared by the Three Lights led by WM Perequito Ike L. Balhon, Jr. further cemented the activity, in recent memory, as one of the finest Charter Anniversary and Family Day celebration of Cagayan de Oro Masonic Lodge No. 298.
Cagayan de Oro Masonic Lodge No. 298 – READY TO SAVE LIVES
The Cagayan de Oro Masonic Lodge No. 298 in coordination with DPWH-X Rank and File Employees Association organized Blood Letting Drive with the great participation of Northern Mindanao Medical Center. This drive is anchored on the theme “Donate Blood and Change a Life Today” which happened last April 17, 2018 at the Conference Room, DPWH Compound, Engineers’ Hill, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City.
This activity promotes sound health to donors and in turn, saving other million lives across the globe. True enough, a number of employees volunteered to donate and 42 successful donors were accommodated at the end of the event.
A good thing about donating blood is its positive impact on the human body consequently cleansing and removing toxins, reducing the risk acquiring cancer, stimulating blood cell production resulting to healthier heart and liver, and weight loss among others.
Overall, the event ran smoothly and successfully because of the consolidated efforts of the Cagayan de Oro Masonic Lodge No. 298 and the support of the DPWH Key Personnel.
Lodge of Instructions
Among the top priorities of WM Perequito Ike L. Balhon Jr. for the ensuing Masonic Year 2018 is the Lodge proficiency in floor works and rituals, decorum and etiquette. Thus, he wasted no time and in less than three weeks from his ascension to the East, on March 3, 2018 at Macajalar Masonic Temple, conducted a Lodge of Instructions with the Champion Mentor of Cagayan de Oro Masonic Lodge No. 298, VW Fernando Roy G. Urot, PDGL as its Speaker and Instructor. The activity was in coordination with WM Michael King Chan and Makahambus Masonic Lodge No. 315.

This is activity is to remind the brethren about the rituals and the proper behavior during the stated meeting. It is a reminder that we are a Masons.
We are inviting brethren of Cagayan de Oro Lodge No.298 F.&A.M. to join this Saturday, March 4,2017 at Macajalar Temple, Carmen Cagayan de Oro City to our Lodge of Instructions which we prepared three topics:

Strategic Planning
Cagayan de Oro Lodge No.298 spent time in strategic planning at Dahilayan, Province of Bukidnon. The Worshipful Master initiated the planning session so that the lodge will prioritize the plans and programs.
